In person at an AVAC
Book an appointment to submit your completed visa application at your nearest AVAC and have your biometrics collected at the same time. Biometrics collection is done using a quick, discreet and non-intrusive process that captures a facial image with a digital camera and a 10-digit fingerprint scan with a digital finger scanner.
All applicants included in the visa application must attend the AVAC for biometric collection and all applicants must bring their original passports with them to the appointment. Appointments can be booked using our online appointment
If submitting an application online:
The Australian Government provides an online option for submitting visa applications to a range of nationalities for certain visa types. For more details, please refer to the Department of Home Affairs website
Some applicants who apply online may not need to provide biometrics. Online applicants who are required to provide biometrics will be sent a letter via their ImmiAccount informing them of this after they have lodged their application.
You will then be required to book an appointment using our online appointment system at an AVAC and attend in person with your letter, original passport and Biometrics Fee. Please visit our Visa Fee page to calculate your fees.
If submitting an application by mail/courier:
Send your completed visa application to the Auckland AVAC and ensure that you include payments for the visa fee and TTS service fee.
If you chose to submit your visa application by mail/courier, you may be requested to attend an AVAC to provide your biometrics. To do so you will need to book an appointment with either Auckland or Queenstown AVAC or Pop-up VACs in Wellington or Christchurch via our online appointment system.
